Book Signing to Kick-off KC Shop Hop

It's a "Meet the Designers" night for you and a "Meet the Quilters" night for me! Please come to a special event on Tuesday evening, April 2nd to celebrate the 10th Annual Greater Kansas City Area Quilt Shop Hop 2008! I'm joining fellow area designers for a trunk show & book signing beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Overland Park International Trade Center in Overland Park, KS.

Shop Hop is April 3rd - April 6th, 2008.

As a designer for Andover Fabrics, I'll be showing my newest quilt designs for my new Meadowsweet fabric & new Need'l Love Tickings. I'll also bring quilts created with Purely Provence & Daylily Days fabrics, so there will be a lot of inspiration with ideas on how to use cottons with my Need'l Love wools & Silk Homespun. My "Andover Sister", Jo Morton, will also be showing her new quilts. We'd love to meet you & will have fun chatting & signing books.

Go to any participating shop during this four day event & pick up a special Passport. Andover Fabrics has donated fat quarters of my Purely Provence fabrics to go with the Purely Provence books we have donated to each Shop Hop shop, so be sure to enter for a chance to win a gift basket. My free signature block will be available at Rustic Yearnings in Independence.

Collect a different designer signature block from each shop.

McCall's Quilting Magazine Feature

Be sure to take a peek at the new June 2008 McCall's Quilting magazine to see the Nature's Palette pillow which I designed to feature a mix of Red Berry Silk Homespun, Purely Provence cotton fabrics & Need'l Love® Wools ...  all for Andover Fabrics. The Euro sized 28" x 28" pillow is shown on pages 44-46. Subscribers should be receiving this issue in their mail box any day now. It's also arriving on the newsstand this week. We have a limited number of kits available so that you can make this pillow exactly as shown. (Kits are $34.99 ... plus $7.00 shipping/handling within the U.S.). 

The Red Berry Silk Homespun is a rich red & the green wools are vivid! The great thing about wool appliqué is that you don't have to turn under the edges! We have the wools washed & ready for cutting.

Hello, Hello ... Oh, My Goodness, so much has happened in the last year. My year has been busy designing NEW Need'l Love® Wools, REAL Tickings, Silk Homespun and 2 new cotton fabric collections for Andover Fabrics. Need'l Notes was created on our website for my personal postings & updates on what's going on at Need'l Love. I promise to blog often in 2008 with lots of fun information to share.
